I have been working at the Bechtel Innovation Design Center for over a year now. BIDC is one of the largest student machine shops on campus, with a variety of CNC mills, CNC lathes, waterjets, and manual machines. I am a Machining Peer Mentor at the center, which means that I consult with students on how to design their parts for manufacturability, teach them CAM in Fusion 360, and then oversee them once they are on the machines physically making their part. I also perform maintenance on all the machines in the center, ensuring that they are functioning as intended. Below are some of the personal projects I have made during my time at BIDC, in addition to assisting hundreds of students on their projects and all the parts I have machined for PSP.
