The HAMR fluids panel takes in gaseous fuels, N2, and GOX, and routes them to the RDE mounted on the HAMR stand. It contains the pneumatic run valves, manual purge selector valves, manual regulators for the igniter system, venturis, and plenty of PTs and TCs. Due to the space allocated for this fluids panel, it doesn’t resemble a traditional flat fluids panel. It used 8020 in a double-decker configuration to mount all the necessary valves and regs. For the nitrogen purge selector valves, a dedicated panel for those valves was made to ease of use during operations. After going through a couple of design iterations in NX, I tallied up all the required fittings and components. Once the parts got here, I built up the majority of the system by bending and flaring tubes, mounting valves to actuators, and wiring up the sensors. I also machined a few manifold blocks for the HAMR stand itself at BIDC.
