Purdue Space Program Liquids is a student team aiming to design and build a liquid methane-liquid oxygen rocket capable of reaching 40,000ft in altitude. I have been a part of this team since I started out at Purdue, contributing to the early design of the rocket. My current role is Manufacturing Lead, where it is now my job to figure out how we are going to manufacture a 20ft long 6in outer diameter rocket, primarily in-house, aside from a few key components. I also coordinate the flow of part production to ensure everything is made when it is needed. Below are a variety of projects I have worked on during my time on PSP-L so far.

Injector Post-Machining
Post-maching a 3D printed injector for CMS for surface finish and correct dimensions
CMS Bulkheads
Single-Element Injector Test
Injector Post-Machining
Machining the upper, common, and lower bulkheads for the tanks of CMS
Single-Element Injector Test
Single-Element Injector Test
Single-Element Injector Test
A single-element injector as a manufacturing test for post-machining the full injector
Subscale Engine Flange
Subscale Engine Mandrel
Single-Element Injector Test
Aluminum engine flange from the previous vehicle, BZB, for the purpose of testing carbon-fiber overwarpping techniques.
Subscale Engine Mandrel
Subscale Engine Mandrel
Subscale Engine Mandrel
Subscale aluminum engine mandrel for the purpose of testing silica-phenolic layup techniques.
CAM Workshops
Subscale Engine Mandrel
Subscale Engine Mandrel
One of many workshops I hold to teach new members how to create their first CAM.
CAM Confluence Pages
Engine Ablation Rate Code
Engine Ablation Rate Code
I created 10+ Confluence pages to serve as documentation and training for new members.
Engine Ablation Rate Code
Engine Ablation Rate Code
Engine Ablation Rate Code
I wrote code to simulate the effects of throat ablation on predicted vehicle apogee and decided the optimal ablative material.
PSP Lego Brick
Engine Ablation Rate Code
PSP Lego Brick
A Lego Brick with the PSP logo engraved on each of the studs. It was the first CAM I made and first part I manufactured at BIDC.
